Fr. Ibrahim was the founding priest of St. Mary’s mission back in 2015. He previously served in Canada, Lebanon, Syria and more recently the United States for 27 years. He graduated from Balamand university where he was quickly ordained as a priest by Syedna Spiridon and began the good work spanning the Bekaa valley and Zahle in lebanon. He immigrated to Canada in 2002 to serve the Church of the Annunciation.

In early 2015 with guidance from his Eminence Archbishop Joseph, he began to connect with every one he could to build a loving church community in the Temecula valley. He faced many hardships in the beginning especially being away from his family, what got him through every day was knowing that he was doing God’s bidding. Thankfully with the generous support of the founding parishioners with their time and monetary funds, they were able to register and begin church service on August 23, 2015. From there the church has grown and moved into the current building. Sadly a few years in he was diagnosed with cancer and fought the good fight for 2 years before he was reposed. He leaves behind a loving wife, son and above all, the wonderful community of St. Mary’s which he called family.
